Damavand Tomb Tower is a holly tomb in Damavand. The Damavand city owns its name from the “Damavand Mount” that`s the highest peak of the Alborz mountains (Harburz in ancient pronunciation). Damavand Mount is an important point in Iran history that forms the base of ancient Iranian ideas, It has been an active volcano someday..

About the tomb Architecture;
The building is in “Multi-Track” form. Invention of this form belongs to one of brilliant ages and styles of Iranian Architecture that starts from almost 1000 AC, exactly when Iran became independent and started to survive its culture. In the Multi-Track Architectural form, Triangular or cylindrical Semi-columns surround a cylindrical/frustum structure and finally a conic form covers all top part of the building. These Architectures had two main usage; One was being a Tomb and another one the Astronomical and Mathematical usage. Accurate calculations of columns positions had given the building the ability of showing exact time of Sunrise, Noon, Sunset, New Year (Nowruz), etc…

I used Vray Render Engine and its nice photographic abilities and specially its displacement for all bricks and ceramics to obtain a full realistic effect. Also lots of color correction has been done on the final image to get desired mood.
